Some Time Together with NOSKIN (PART ONE)

Some Time Together is our ongoing journal series — a way to celebrate creatives, founders, friends and the brands we think are doing things a little bit differently.

For Episode Three, we sat down with Tony, founder and director of Nōskin in his Collingwood studio to talk all things music, art, fashion and community.

The name says it all. Every Nōskin piece is made entirely without animal products or materials — a brand dedicated to creating ethical pieces that stand the test of time. Growing up playing in bands, Tony has taken inspiration from his career in music, along with different cities he’s lived in, to form the base of what No Skin is and stands for. Independent, expressive and unafraid.

But Tony’s mission goes beyond that. It’s also about transparency, brand and customer responsibility, and a relentless commitment to craftsmanship. From design to production, every decision is made with intention: minimising waste, supporting other local brands and artists, and prioritising quality over everything else.

The latest drop, The 73, is proof of that ethos — an elevated shoe that blends comfort and structure so seamlessly. He knew they’d make an impact long before they even shared a photo of it online. The attention to detail, the finish, the custom shoelaces, it’s the culmination of years spent refining both product and principle.

Tony talks about the balance between creativity and conviction, the influence of music, and how every choice in No Skin is a reflection of who he is.
